This adorable top is one of our best selling patterns this month! It uses a heavy worsted or bulky weight yarn - and only about 250-350 yards - and is written to fit girls from 18 months to 8 years old. Love the AFK, but not sure how to get the gauge? Try double stranding the Shepherd Worsted with the Shepherd Sport. you'll need about 2 hanks of each. (Or, you could always use 2-3 hanks of the Cascade 128 Superwash... that only ends up being $25-35 per sweater!)

Speaking of Stitch Markers, have you seen this clever set? There are 20 printed markers in each handy pouch (the pouch color at the moment is teal). Each marker has a helpful word or abbreviation written on it... (Start , End, Inc, Dec, RS, WS, stars and letters). How fun!!

The Scottie Handbag from Offhand Designs has super cool straps a wide opening, so you can see everything inside easily.... because you want to be able to look at your yarn and knitting projects at ALL TIMES, right?! This new Midge print has really caught the eye of most of us on staff here, partly because of the Vintage look, but also because of the dark brown trim and lining... i mean, who doesn't love brown?!

These handmade stitch markers feature Kitchen gadgets wire-wrapped with Swarovski crystals. They come as a set of 5 in a box with a lid so you won't lose them in your knitting bag (and are already boxed for gift-giving). Made by Victoria to accompany the Amber's First Kitchen color, consider picking up a set of these for the cook in your life. And now that I'm [finally] getting back into the kitchen (I LOVE to cook and recently bought my first nice mixer!), I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'll get a set for Mother's Day!

Rowan Silk Wool DK yarn is 50 silk/50 wool and is lusciously soft and shiny. The wonderful drape is accompanied by the strength of wool and the softness of silk. A Rowan staple for years, it has been discontinued and our remaining stock is 50 percent off. I think I'll pick up 1 ball each of the Berry, Mint, Spruce, and Grey - and will knit up matching summer beanies for Doug and Huck... i'll make the stripes slightly different, but the colors will make it obvious that the beanies (and boys) were meant to go together!

100 percent Donegal Tweed Wool in a chunky weight. Knits up quickly, but is not too bulky and each hank has 111 yards (so is perfect for a hat or quick scarf)! We've got 5 colors to choose from, so start working on your Fall wardrobe today... (how about this Dolce Handknits cardigan? You'd only need 3-5 hanks).

In 6 overstocked colors, the Cashmerino DK is a Merino, Cashmere, and Microfibre blend that is ridiculously soft and machine washable yet reasonably priced (especially at 30% off)! The PERFECT yarn for Knitting Pure and Simple Patterns, as well as lots of Debbie Bliss creations...and has 125 yards per ball! Personally, I'd love to see a patchwork blanket done with ALL 6 colors. Maybe something like this one... or this crocheted one?
