This is my variation of the
Cigar Gloves pattern from Knitty Summer '05. I liked the glove pattern, but my boyfriend wanted regular fingerless gloves, so I left all the fingers open. I am also lazy and did not do the stripes from the pattern. A self proclaimed
Madelinetosh-Addict, I loved knitting every stitch, even the tedious fingers. The pattern was quite easy, and I finished one entire glove on a car trip from Reno to LA. The increase for the thumb gusset was probably my favorite part, and I also got much better at picking up stitches (part of the finger-creating process for these gloves). I made this pair for my boyfriend, who loves them. However, he doesn't get to wear them much since we now live in southern California.
