Kristen designed this shawl as the Tasty Tosh pattern of the Month for June 2015 using the Mexican Grilled Street Corn color paired with Cousteau. The
Baja Sunrise Shawl was inspired by the way the sun's rays hit the ocean waves as it rises over the Baja peninsula. This simple shawl has yarn over increases that create a semi-circular shape. Baja Sunrise uses approximately 200 yards each of two colors of Tosh DK yarn. Gradual striping leads the way into a contrasting border in a simple variation on old shale lace. Finished with a picot bind off, this shawl is a great intro to lace and shawl knitting for the intermediate knitter.
You can download your copy of the
Baja Sunrise Shawl in Kristen's Ravlery Shop for just $1 until July 15th, 2015, or if you purchase just 1 skein of Tosh DK in the
Mexican Grilled Street Corn limited edition color (while we have it in stock), you'll receive a download code to get the pattern for FREE!!
