| Don't You Cry Noro More There'll be Peace When You Are Done (with your project) | | |
For our big birthday, we have been taking a fun journey down memory lane. Our Beans have been looking back at the projects we were excited to get on our needles, the lovely people we've met, and all of our favorite yarns we've adored over the years! Noro Yarns was one of our favorite yarns from back in the day (we first carried it over 15 years ago!) and we couldn't be more excited to become a purveyor of their beautiful yarns once again!
Inspired by the non-uniformity and coarseness of nature, Eisaku Noro strives to leave his yarns in as natural of a state as possible. To preserve the natural state of these fibers, Noro uses human hands and old machinery to prevent over processing of the yarn.
The vibrant color palette Noro offers takes influence from the natural colors of the untouched area in which Eisaku Noro, himself grew up in. All animal fibers used in Noro yarns come from certified organic farms, from Australia, the Falkland Islands, and South Africa!
Along with the familiar vibrant Silk Garden and Kureyon bases, we are very excited to now bring you Ito! This worsted weight, 100% wool yarn self-stripes as you knit or crochet with it resulting in a ridiculously soft fabric with exquisite color changes! Boasting over 400 yards a ball, you can make a kaleidoscopic scarf with just one ball or grab a few more to create a stunning sweater!
No matter what Noro colorway you pick for your project, you are sure to create a work of art!

Totes Adorbs!
Drum roll please! Our next special anniversary accessory has landed and we are totes excited! Can you ever have enough tote bags?! Yeah right!
With all the celebrating we've got going on to enjoy our big 20th birthday this year, we decided we needed to carry around our party supplies in style...Jimmy Beans style that is!! That's why we designed the della Q Jimmy Beans Wool Birthday Grocery Bag!
Featuring a pattern with the throwback to our old logo, this tote is not only perfect for gathering all of your celebration necessities but also great for everyday use. Constructed of ripstop nylon, this grocery bag is not only lightweight, but sturdy making it perfect for carrying anything from groceries, to books, to your latest WIP! The body of the bag is 15" wide by 13.5" tall and 5" deep so it can fit a boat load of yarn from your next haul too!
Laissez les bons temps rouler or what we like to say, let the good times roll! Mardi Gras is almost here and we are ready to don our big colorful beads and dig into a generous slice of Kings Cake!
Whether you are participating in festivities out with friends or watching the parade at home, it is important to wear your green, purple, and gold to get into the spirit! While we may not be throwing beads quite yet, we can throw the Jimmy's Mardi Gras Sock Kit your way just in time for you to make for your Fat Tuesday wardrobe!

Are you up for the challenge?
As fiber artists, we are always looking for new and fun ways to grow our skills. Whether it is trying out a new stitch or attempting a new pattern, we are up for the challenge! We also love to flex our creativity and reimagine our projects to fit our style more! We are proud to be members of the Craft Yarn Council because of their dedication to growing the education and creativity of fiber artists! That is why we are an excited participant of their 2022 Great Yarn Challenge!
This fiber-based competition consists of weekly challenges based around a theme. While each of the challenges feature inspiration projects and patterns, you don't have to box yourself in! You're (highly) encouraged to think creatively (and cleverly!) on how yarn can be used to create your own original projects!
Next week's theme is "Just Wear It," which makes it pretty simple,if you can wear it, you can submit it! The challenge runs February 21-27 and during that time you can tune into our social channels (find us @jimmybeanswool on every social!) for free patterns, tutorials, and giveaways! Plus, if you complete a project, make sure to submit it to the Great Yarn Challenge for additional chances to win! Plus, it doesn't matter if you are a knitter or crocheter, as long as you love to create with yarn, you can enter.

Project On Our Needles!
Amy's Clara Cables Vest
Our Bean, Amy, is looking the best in this vest! When we first saw all the cables on this sweater our jaws actually dropped. Just look at all that texture!!! This classic but modern piece is easy to layer in the changing of the seasons. Designed by Amy herself, this vest knits up faster than you think in everyone's favorite Tosh Merino Light. We all want to get one of these on our own on our needles ASAP!
