| NEW Tosh Hue, A Merry MAL, & 8 Tiny Octopi!
|
Our Beans have turned the lights down, picked their hiding spots, and are ready to throw colorful confetti and yell SURPRISE!!! While it may be our own big birthday we're celebrating this year, we are having a BLAST surprising our customers with exclusive products and collaborations all year long!
For this month's special treat, we have teamed up with our good friends over at Blue Sky Fibers to bring you a bundle of fiber fun! That's right, to celebrate our 20th birthday, we're bringing you an EXCLUSIVE colorway of Blue Sky Fibers' ultra-popular Woolstok Bundles.
Just like a goodie bag you'd receive at a birthday, the Surprise Party is packed full of treats (that just happen to be yarn!) This bundle features three mini-skeins each of seven colorways inspired by the rainbow colors of our logo!
Indulge in these soft and squishy 36-yard skeins of Woolstok in your next WIP! These bundles are perfect for adding a rainbow twist to your cozy shawls or are enough to knit up a colorful beanie! No matter how you choose to use this bundle, your hooks and needles won't be able to get enough of this yarn!

Hooked On The Holidays!
We know fall just started, but is anyone else anxiously awaiting the holidays?! The thought of knit stockings hung by the fire, presents wrapped in pretty paper, and twinkly lights strung up on the tree gets us so excited for the festive days to come (we're only 86 days away from the BIG holiday!)
To kick off the season on a bright start, Scheepjes is hosting a Make-Along featuring the Christmas Tangle Blanket designed by Astrid Schandy.
|
|
Using the lightweight and soft strands of Catona, this jolly afghan is available in two colorways for you to choose from to fit into your own winter wonderland! Snowy Rainbow features a white background with sparkly rainbow light motifs and the Jewel Green version represents a Christmas tree decorated for the season with jewel tones!
This intermediate-level pattern features the clever interlocking crochet technique. Not sure if this pattern is right for you? To help you practice ahead of the start of the MAL, Astrid has released a free potholder pattern for you to try out! All you need are a few extra skeins of Catona to get the ball rolling!
The merry MAL officially starts October 5 with the release of the pattern on Astrid's Ravelry page! For those participating, you can get the pattern for 30% off using the code ScheepjesMAL (valid October 5 - November 1). Each MAL week starts on Wednesday and runs throughout the month of October so you'll have this blanket done just in time for decking the halls! To check in with other participants, you can join Scheepjes' Facebook group!

September has been a BLAST here at Jimmy Beans HQ. Last weekend, we hosted 100 knitters and crocheters for our 2022 Biggest Little Getaway, and two weeks ago we participated in the annual Sierra Nevada Yarn Crawl! We loved seeing all of your smiling faces come in to peruse our warehouse for new yarns, learn techniques from our knowledgeable teachers, and show off your latest WIPs to our Beans! If you were not able to join us for either event, we want to bring you something that encapsulates visiting the Sierra Nevadas at this time of year!
|
During late summer and early fall, you can find a variety of wild blooms peppering the usually brown hillsides of Northern Nevada. For the SNYC, the color masters at Madelinetosh developed an exclusive colorway that encapsulates the feeling of taking a hike on a sunny day through the meadows of wildflowers in the mountains! Desert Prism combines the soft pinks of Desert Peach bushes, the golden yellows of Buckwheat, the royal purples of Lupine, and the bright oranges of Paintbrush into a gorgeous hank of Tosh Merino Light!

|
To showcase the stunning hues of this yarn, designer Carissa Browning created the knit Thisaway and crochet Thataway shawl patterns. These geometric shawls are worked up using one skein of Desert Prism and one of Dirty Panther!

Ewenicorns Are Real!
We've all heard of unicorns, but have you heard of the mythical Ewenicorn?! This fabulous creature struts its stuff in fields filled with flowers, sunshine, and rainbows! This breed of sheep is desired by all for its cloud-like wool that spins into the softest yarn and its very useful silver needle horn! Okay, maybe this unicorn-sheep hybrid isn't real... but when we got Addi's new Turbo Ewenicorn Circular Needles, we couldn't help but imagine it was!
|
|
It's time to add some magic to your knits! These are just like the Turbo circular needles you know and love, but with a twist - literally! Each tip features a subtle spiral texture that reminds us of the mythical knit powers of the Ewenicorn! To make it even better, the sturdy nylon cords come in a beautiful vibrant shade of hot pink.
With tip sizes from US 0 to US 11 and cords from 24" to 60", these circulars will give you an escape to a special fantasy land where yarn is abundant and sheep have horns!
|
Caught up in the story we told you about the spellbinding Ewenicorn? Make it a reality and carry these mythical creatures everywhere you go with Lucky Sardine's Black Sheep Unicorn Rainbow pins, patches, and stickers!
|
Please note: Some of the smaller needle sizes do not follow standard US sizing. Addi needles labeled US 1 (2.5mm) are truly size US 1.5 (2.5mm). Needles labeled US 2 (3.0mm) are truly size US 2.5 (3.0mm).

Project On Our Needles!
Nicole's Octopus Amigurumi Surprise
Our Bean, Nicole, recently brought a show and tell to our morning meeting and we all instantly fell in love with the octopus she made for her friend! Then when she pulled out babies from it we all lost it, some of us even ran over to get a closer look! Many of our Beans are looking up the pattern and planning their own variation of the Octopus Surprise! This octo-cutie and friends were crocheted using Scheepjes Catona.
