| <P>The yarn has a beautiful sheen. I used some of it to work on a "travelling scarf" which meant that the scarf will ultimately belong to another person. I was disappointed to find a huge knot that had been tied early on in the ball--it was like a big X.</P>

<P>The yarn is very loosely plied. I think that there are about 6 or 8 minute threads making up the ply and they tend to get loose even with the most dedicated attention. </P>

<P>The yarn does have a wonderful sheen; and I suspect that the scarf will look good if one does not look at the individual stitches too carefully. I had no idea how to weave in the knot and left it for a more talented sewer/crafter.</P>

| Yes...this yarn is soft, and has a nice drape and sheen to it. Only if you can successfully get to a decent swatch length without frogging it 20 times. The ply is so sensitive that you will find yourself constantly checking to see if a strand or two hasn't strayed, dropped, or didn't pick up with your stitches. If you are looking for TV Knitting yarn, this is NOT it. It's slippery too, so wooden needles would work best with it. Given that the yarn is temperamental, I will admit that once you develop the proper relationship with it (patience, time, and babysitting) - it really has a lovely final look. Stitch definition is beautiful, it's soft, and as a bonus: as you frog, the ply of the yarn is forgiving. |
