This lovely shawl is the cover pattern from Malabrigo Book 3. Shevawn started this project last year but ran into some issues with the skeins of Silky Merino being different when she knit them even though they were the same dyelot. This is pretty common with hand-dyed yarn, so she ripped back to the beginning and alternated her skeins every other row. The result is this gorgeous shawl that looks absolutely amazing!
This pattern is pretty simple for a first-time shawl knitter with it's basic triangular shawl construction, mostly stockinette stitch, and easy lace border. The book that the pattern is in contains a range of lovely patterns from well known designers (including Stephen West, Mercedes Tarasovich-Clark, Julie Weisenberger, Kristen Rengren, Stefanie Goodwin-Ritter, and Breann Elyse Miller) using Malabrigo yarns and is by far the msot popular of all of their pattern collection books. We think Shevawn's shawl turned out just beautifully!
