Kristen decided she needed a new sweater the week before she was leaving for VK Live Chicago last October so she cast on for this simple top-down cardigan--the Trail Jacket from Knitbot and voila- a new sweater in 10 days! Kristen used some stash yarn- a Rowan Scottish Tweed that she had waiting for the right project but the pattern calls for a Heavy Worsted or Light chunky like the Cascade
Eco Wool or
Eco + yarn or if you want to get really fancy,
Tosh Chunky.
Kristen managed to finish just in time for her class with Ysolda at VK Live! She also took a trip to Millennium park to see the Bean-- a must-do in the windy city! Kristen modified her trail jacket a bit, making it slightly longer in length, adding a cowl collar, and longer sleeves. She had plenty of stash yarn to do so--about 980 yards. She was so happy with her finished sweater and wore it a ton this past winter!
