Craftvent
Forget the mistletoe and eggnog, we're lookin' for something a little more interactive this year! The original Jimmy Beans Wool Craftvent Calendar is back and bigger than ever! The JBW elves have been hard at work to keep everything hush-hush, but we can't keep it to ourselves anymore - we're just too excited! Jimmy Claus had to upgrade her sleigh this year to make room for all of the goodies we have in store for you. These goodies include a large, month-long project resulting in a gorgeous shawl and a smaller, 12-day version which makes a marvelous pair of mitts. Both projects come in two colorways and are available for knitters and crocheters alike!
*Each large project uses 100% Merino Singles from the likes of Madelinetosh, Moondrake Co., and Neighborhood Fiber Company
The (knit) Festive Wrap: Designed by Ambah O'Brien, this shawl features wavy stripes with beautiful lace motifs resembling leaves or even elongated hearts, which really drives home the heart-warming spirit of the gift-giving season!
The (crochet) Tidings Wrap: Dreamed up by Jane Crowfoot, this wrap went all out on snowflake-esque flower motifs creafted with a breezy, open lace pattern. And the best part? This option is adorned with the cutest little pom poms - talk about cheery!
Both of these patterns are available in two colorways:
Buttermint: Reminiscent of icy blue horizons and chilly weather! The cool blues in this option are offset by deep purples (sugarplums, anyone?) and a stripe of light yellow, which resembles the warm glow of candles on the snow, resulting in an eyecatching masterpiece.
Ribbon Candy: Inspired by our southern hemisphere friends, the warm pinks remind us of the glow seen on the underbellies of the clouds during sunset. This option, while primarily baby pinks and salmons, features a stripe of magenta and yellow to warm it up - almost as warm as you’ll be curled up with this project, hehe!
Looking for a stocking stuffer? The 'Tis the Season Mitts are all the rage around the JBW warehouse! Designed by Amy Gunderson, these adorable accessories are sure to keep your hands nice and cozy when picking up some snow to throw at your friends (that CAN'T just be us, right?). Both the knit and crochet versions of this project feature stripes of Madelinetosh Tosh Merino Light in coordinating colors based off of yummy holiday treats!
Candy Canes: As the name would suggest, this is our pink-based colorway! Filled to the brim with carious shades of pink that all come together in harmony, you could say this option is as sweet as they come!
Snow Cone: Don't be so blue (or do)! While we don't often get to enjoy this treat, especially during the holiday season, we sometimes dream about the yummy, sugary syrup and fun colors that this treat often has!
