This classic, close-fitting cap exhibits equal parts sailor's savvy and skateboard cool. We designed it in a fine gauge yarn in single rib, with a comfy tubular cast-on and nifty mitered decreases. We love the watch cap in its most quintessential form, with a deep cuff. And the beanie begged for a modern color-tipped edge. Great on girls, too! The finished product was wonderful! I plan on making more for gifts for next year. I think it would be great to use up some of the leftover skeins of fingering yarn or maybe even sport yarn.
Both my mom and I knit this pattern. I've done socks before, and found the pattern extremely easy and pleasing. She's never knit socks, or with such small needles, but still found the pattern easy to follow.
