Designed as the shawl project for our 2016 Craftvent Calendars, Rachel was inspired by the strands of lights and garland of her Christmas tree, which lend a somewhat linear look to the tree. The Paper Chains shawl she designed uses 12 different colors (50 yards of each) and skinny stripes which simulates those lines. In the first section, there are also slipped stitches, which look a little like the traditional paper chain garland!
We are out of the 2016 Craftvent Calendars that featured this lovely shawl, but you can still purchase one of our pre-made yarn-and-pattern kits
here.
You can also find the pattern for sale in her
Ravelry store.
