I finally finished up the Botanic Hat for my sweetheart late last night so here are the final photos! The Botanic Hat by
Stephen West was a really fun project to knit up with a skein each of two different colors of the Malabrigo
Rios [machine washable! warm! soft! I love this yarn!!!!]. When I downloaded the pattern, I kind of thought it was going to be above my skill level but it was fairly simple to knit! You just alternate the colors every row and slip a purl stitch on the CC color to make the ribs pop on the outside. Although, the decreasing rows require a bit more attention...which I learned the hard way and missed a few slip stitches and decreasing here and there so it looks a bit weird at the top. Oh well! I just look at it as being more unique! :] Here are the pics with the reversible side, too! The pattern was well worth the $6...Stephen West really knows his stuff!
