Fantastic for baby blankets
I just made 2 baby blankets with this yarn my own pattern, both for babies born in the fall. The new moms loved the warmth in the car and elsewhere, and because of the washability, they were good big blankets to lay on the floor if the moms had to put the baby down but didn't want to do so on the carpet. Not cheap for sure, but a gorgeous, reliable result. Don't think I had a single knot in the almost 30 skeins I've used so far.

Always lovely and reliable quality
I've used this yarn for years, and the wonderful feel and excellent quality can be relied upon. I don't believe I've ever encountered a knot which, in tonals and prints, can have a real impact on usable yardage, and it is one of the strongest single-plies I've used. The color may vary greatly from batch to batch, so it may be worthwhile calling JBW before placing an order to find out exactly what they have on hand.

Beautiful but too pricey
I love all the Madelinetosh yarns and Vintage is no exception. However, given that Vintage has only 200 yds. per skein, I think the price is a bit high. Pashmina Worsted costs more, but has both more yardage and cashmere in it as well. Just something to consider.

Gorgeous colors, but may be very different from the picture
The review title says it all. It may be worthwhile calling JBW before placing an order to get more detailed information as to how well the picture represents the actual color of the skein.

Lovely to use, watch the color carefully
I've used this yarn many times and like it very much. It's important to remember though, that this yarn varies more from batch to batch than perhaps any other yarn I've used. The greatest variation I've seen is in color intensitysome skeins can be quite pale, while others have intense, gorgeous color. JBW of course, has no control over what they receive, but it may be worthwhile calling before ordering to get an idea of what they have in stock and what it looks likeespecially if this is important to the particular project.

Use caution when choosing colors
I ordered 3 skeins each of a different color 2 arrived looking exactly the way they appeared on my computer, but the last was so dark it was unusual. Still searching for the 3rd to make the Linen Stitch Scarf!

Softer than other Mochi yarns!
Chunky Mochi, for some reason, is noticeably softer than either Mochi Plus or Mini MochiI have no idea why. Another difference perhaps related to the softness? is that, although the fiber content of all 3 yarns is listed as the same, the 2 lighter weights can be machine-washed, but the chunky version requires hand-washing. No one seems to know whyit's just something to bear in mind.
It is heaven to work with, but DO recall that it is single-ply, and therefore, essentially like roving. When making a knot while finishing off, I thought I was tugging gently, but it shredded right in my hands. Just be awarebut I wouldn't allow that to prevent me from using it again. And of course whatever you're making will fly. I used a size 11 to make a child's cowl, and it was done in a flash.
Highly recommend this yarn.

Heavenly soft, excellent quality
I haven't finished an entire skein yet, so I can't speak as to whether or not there could be a knot, however, this is an incredibly soft yarnone of those that is a delight to work with. It's called worsted, but it's definitely a LIGHT worsted, so do bear that in mind. The pictures on JBW are very accurate as to color, at least for Salt & Pepper and Sea Glass, the colors I have used.

Silk Garden, as ever
Although I always find myself wishing that Silk Garden were a bit softer, it's hard to beat the sheer intensity of color that you get with it. And it does of course, soften a bit with careful blocking I'm fond of Eucalan, but there are other washing products.
What I appreciate the most, though, is the assistance I get from the wonderful and VERY patient! folks at JBW when purchasing Silk Garden. I know they do usually photograph the actual product they have, but it's still so nice to be able to call up and just say something like, Is there really a good amount of pink in that color combination? Because they will literally go and put their hands on the yarn and check it out for you. Usually, they'll pick my yarn and send it right on the spotwhich means that there's an attention to detail that you just can't find with some really big online places.
So JBW's service gets 5 stars, as always, and Silk Garden is as beautiful but typically woolly-feeling, of course as ever.
