An Economical Alternative
This yarn is a great option for the more expensive ones of this type. Nice colors, and very soft. The only issue is that it is difficult to tink. But aren't all mohair yarns?!

Not Your Ordinary Sock Yarn
It's not squishy or any of those descriptors. In fact, it's a wee bit scratchy. What you do get is the unique and beautiful color changes that make knitting with this yarn a lot of fun. I haven't washed it yet, but I hear tell that the yarn softens quite a bit.

I Have a Thing for This Yarn!
I have purchased Elsebeth Lavold Silky Wool many times. I love its unique texture. It knits easily and has nice stitch definition. When I give it a wool soak bath, it comes out soft and smooth. You get excellent yardage and great color selection at a very reasonable price.

At first I was put off by what I thought was scratchy texture. Then, as I knitted with Silk Garden, it began to soften up more. I grew to appreciate the texture and the fun color changes. Truly interesting and worth taking the plunge on something different!
