Nice Light weight wool
I bought 3 colors of this on sale, great price!!
I have started a sweater with one of them and really like it so far. Using a size 6 needle and getting gauge. It feels soft and knits well. I live in the south and though we get cold weather, heavier type yarns like alpaca are too warm. This is an ideal weight and can be worn under a jacket without being bulky. Am doing a cable right now and the definition is good.
I wish Rowan was not discontinuing this yarn.
I recommend buying it while Jimmy Bean has it at such a great price.

Still love it.
I wrote about this yarn when I first purchased it but hadn't done anything.
I am well into the sweater I am making with it and can't say enough good things about it! The sweater contains cables and a knit in the stitch below along with the regular knit stitches. Does not split and the various stitches show up well, and it feels great. Great yardage and great yarn for the price.

Love the feel of this yarn & how it knits up.
I purchased a skein of this just to try, and I am impressed. I did a swatch on both a 7 and 8 needle and either would work well. It doesn't split and is a dream to knit with & shows the stitch well even in the dark brown that I got. It is so soft to the touch,I can't wait to knit a garment with it. The sweater I want to do with this yarn requires a smaller needle so will probably order the #135. Will review again after I have made something. Since this is a new yarn at JimmyBeans
I wanted to let people know I am impressed with it.

Jacket is Gorgeous
I picked up my jacket today at my yarn store there were several people there and they all loved it. It is so soft and Ȭuddly" I highly recommend this yarn.
I saw one review that stated that the Jacob color of this yarn was not soft. I would really like to make this coat/jacket again in one of the other colors and hope someone else writes about other colors and how they feel.

Wonderful Yarn
I knitted the Jacket shown in the book Amber instead of using the Cashsoft chunky I used the Purelife. I made the coat/jacket using #950. It was one of the best to knit with yarns I have ever used. The more I worked with it the softer it got! My LYS blocked and put it all together for me. I got sick and haven't been able to go pick it up however Jennifer said it is so soft she would like to sleep in it!
I want to make another jacket out of this yarn, but would like to know if any of you did anything with cables in the darker shades and how they showed up?? email me at mimim@hargray.com
