Almost perfect large project bag.
This bag is beautiful and classic looking. It’s quite roomy and holds more than I thought it would. I really like the internal frame in the top of the bag so it stays wide open when I’m using it. The inner pocket is great as is the built in yarn guide that allows for addition or removal of yarn at anytime without having to cut the yarn.
The ability to add/remove the shoulder strap as needed is very nice. I don’t like to use shoulder straps unless I’m traveling with a lot of luggage so to be able to easily remove it when I want is a huge plus.
The only two things I would have preferred a bit different are the yarn cutter and the stiffness of the bag.
I had been really wanting this bag and am fortunate to live close enough to drive to JBW and buy one in person. When I saw them hanging in the shop, I almost didn’t buy it. It is fairly saggy and doesn’t hold its shape well and wasn’t an attractive bag. It would have been nicer if the canvas was a bit more stiff so the bag holds its shape. I have it about 2/3 stuffed with yarn and a project right now and it does look nicer. The downside of this is the built in yarn cutter. It’s placed low enough in the bag that I have found fibers on it from it snagging on my project. I’m going to be trying to take the cutter off without ruining the della Q label.
It’s still my most favorite project bag and I’m really happy to have it.

Terry is fantastic!
She gets down to business and is able to figure out where I went wrong even when I made an even bigger mess trying to fix it. She is to knitters what licensed plumbers/electricians/contractors are to husbands. lol
She is a human lifeline for knit projects. I am thankful JBW has someone like her to help us.

Total game changer
I got this set of cords in my Christmas stocking. OMG. Total game changer. I use sock yarn for my lifelines. The lifeline threads into the project right as you knit SO easy and effortlessly that I had to keep checking that it was working. Truly amazing.
Do remember though that if working back and forth, you do need to make sure your entire row has been passed over the spot in the cable where the lifeline starts before turning the work or it won't be inserted all the way. It's easy enough to slide over, drop the end of the lifeline out of the cord, then slide back.
I definitely want more of these cords in different lengths. Worth every penny.

Update to previous review
I would like to add that halfway through the hank, there was a knot in the yarn and a lack of color where the dye didn't soak into the knot. I'm very disappointed to find a knot and would not have bought this brand if I knew they left them in. I definitely won't buy this brand again. I shouldn't have to work around a knot.
