| Fabric Prints, New Yarn + A Cute Project Log! We Hope You Love This Handspun Yarn | | |
For so many of us, the end of the year is a time of reflection: did we accomplish all the goals we set in place? Did we take that vacation we promised ourselves?? Was this year everything we hoped it would be and more?! With reflection comes a bit of nostalgia and as we began reflecting on our della Q journey this past year, we couldn't help but feel like maybe something was missing!

Our Maker's Bags have been a huge success and we can barely keep our Oh Snaps in stock! But we began to feel like pieces of vintage della Q (the original reason we fell for the company!!) hadn't yet been included. So our team put our creative minds together and came up with our newest collection from della Q. Please welcome Fabric Prints!
Made up in muted hues and purple accents with the cutest depictions of (our favorite!) yarn bombing, the aptly named 'Yarn Bombing' set by Jeni Paltiel comes in our best selling bags, the Nora, Rosemary, Standing Needle Case (new!!), and Mesh + Zips!

What's black and white with daisies all over?! 'Unraveling Daisies'! Designed by Diane Warren, this collection also features cats (doing what they do best, no less - getting into trouble!) on our Nora, Hanging Circular Needle Organizer, and Interchangeable Needle Case. Snag a red Oh Snap set or black DPN case to complete the collection!
'Knitted Rows' by Hanna Mason is a personal favorite around Jimmy Beans HQ! This collection stole our hearts with it's adorable depictions of friends in knitted garments holding hands - a sentiment to how we see our community of makers! Available in navy with orange accents, you can grab a Nora, Rosemary or Mesh + Zip bag and a set of corresponding Oh Snaps and Eden bags, too!
We love ewe and 'Alva' too! Designed by Maria Tjaland Odegard, this black and white collection is perfect for those crafters who prefer a muted color palette but long for something cute, too! Available in our Mesh + Zip, Nora, and Standing Needle Case, this set of bags pairs perfectly with any of our Eden and Oh Snap bags!

And as the coveted cherry on top, each of these super cute collections comes with corresponding stitch markers and needle gauges to boot!

As we've been reflecting, we can't help but think back on how much change we've experienced in the last year and we're feeling lots of hope looking toward the holidays. So much hope, we brought on Handspun Hope to celebrate!!
Founded in Northern Rwanda in 2007, this hand-dyed yarn company currently employs over 150 people. Handspun Hope is a proud member of the Fair Trade Federation, which means they offer above fair wages, family health care, and group & individual counseling for the at-risk women they employ. We love supporting a company that gives back to its local community!

New-to-us Merino Wool Super Bulky and Merino Wool Worsted Weight are made directly from the flock that live on their farm in Rwanda, making their fiber organic and all natural!! (Fun fact! In Rwanda they shear their sheep every 8 months instead of yearly because it's warm year-round!) Super Bulky densely packs 50 yards per skein while Worsted Weight has 126 yards per skein. The Ethiopian Cotton Sport Weight yarn is imported Ethiopian hand spun cotton made by a women's co-op in Ethiopia! Each skein of Cotton Sport yarn is 368 yards of buttery goodness.
The women from Handspun Hope hand-dye the yarn with native Rwandan plants! There are over 25 colors to choose from for each of these bases, offering a beautiful muted and earthy color palette (Rich Topiary is quickly becoming one of our faves!).
Not only is Handspun Hope yarn warm & fuzzy but it gives us the warm and fuzzies! We have several stunning designs available as kits. You can learn more about Handspun Hope from Diana Wiley, executive director and founder of Handspun Hope, in this video we made from her visit to our annual Reno Retreat!

Project On Our Needles
Alex's Woolfolk Krusning Cowl
Our Bean, Alex, has been busy knitting away the fall months!! First her Skullivan beanie (which we love so so much!) and now her Woolfolk Krusning Cowl in the most perfect fall color! When we asked Alex where she plans to wear her newest creation, she gave us a sly grin and said, "everywhere!". You go, Alex!!!
