Do you want to believe? We do! So when we got requests from our pals on Ravelry for a color to commemorate the return of the X-Files this January in the form of a mini-series, we went straight to Lorna's with our evidence - no special badges or passwords required! They got in on the conspiracy and created an ethereal mix of otherworldly purples and rosy hues inspired by the mysterious nature of the show, and it's already sending chills down our spines! We're calling it "X-Philes" as an homage to the show's loyal fans, and it's available in all your favorite Lorna's bases: Shepherd Sock, Solemate, Shepherd Sport, Honor, and Shepherd Worsted! | In addition to this month's color, we are pleased to give you a sneak peek at a brand new product from Lorna's Laces... String Quintets! These curated palettes of 5 mini skeins will be added to our Limited Edition collections this year, inspired by each of the monthly colors - starting with the X-Philes! We've added a few more colors to this set to create a stunning tonal array. |
Each String Quintet contains 125 grams, which comes out to over 500 yards of yarn: perfect for a gradient color project like Chris's Gradiation Shawl, which Erika liked so much that she whipped one up right away! Stay tuned for the official Lorna's Laces release of the String Quintets this spring, and we hope you enjoy our specially produced sneak peek! Now for the important part: what are you going to make while you watch? How about some deliciously filigreed Most Lace Socks in Shepherd Sock or Solemate? Just 1 skein of Shepherd Sport would make a lovely crocheted Artifice Slouch, or 2 skeins will get you a Birdsfoot Fern Shawlette, and you could imagine the footprints belong to little aliens instead of birds!
A Chillmark Scarf is simple enough to crochet even when things get exciting onscreen, or a gorgeous Drift Shawl - in Shepherd Worsted, either one will keep the chills at bay (but not the goosebumps!). Whatever you choose, be sure to have your needles or hooks and yarn at the ready when the show premiers on January 24th on Fox! | And don't forget your special Spark Stitch Markers! These snag-free beauties were specially designed to coordinate with this month's eerily gorgeous color, and they'll look great in whatever you knit or crochet! |

It's time for another wonderful Knit-Along with Martin Storey and Rowan! This year's design is a beautiful blanket composed of different squares, each showcasing a technique or style inspired by the knitting traditions of Northern Europe! Martin uses Pure Wool Worsted Superwash for a soft and sturdy blanket you'll use for years to come, and he's personally selected four gorgeous color palettes to coordinate with any décor. Choose from classic neutral, restful blue, calming green, or spicy warm-toned palettes with our handy Knit-Along Kit, which includes all the yarn you'll need for the project. Then, head over to the Rowan website to get started! |

Giddy-up! And, we still have a few of the November Dream Club kits as well: a skein of deliciously smooth Jilly With Silk yarn, plus the download code for the adorable Dream On! Hat by Hanna Maciejewska! This just in - The January Dream Club Color is here as well! Snag just 1 skein of Jilly with Cashmere to knit the Blue Jean Boheme set by Kalurah Hudson! |
You already love Zen Yarn Garden's Serenity 20 - sumptuously soft merino and cashmere with a touch of nylon in a fingering weight, perfect for shawls and socks alike. We think you'll love it even more in the specially dyed colors of the Art Walk Series! Maybe you'll stick to classic Van Gogh, or strike out with your own Improvisation - either way, you're sure to Rejoice in these beautiful, hand-dyed colorways!
Especially in the perfect patterns: the crocheted Surround Sound Cowl is stunning, or Romi Hill's Red Freckles is ideal for showcasing one of these beautiful skeins with a solid contrast color! |

| Design genius Norah Gaughan is at it again - this time, with a brand-new collection of patterns for The Fibre Company! What better way to showcase fabulous Fibre Company yarns than with carefully crafted, gorgeous garments that are sure to become wardrobe staples? We love the simplicity of the poncho for cold-weather wear, and the Times Square and Tallinn ponchos will top any style with ease. |
The Metropolis Cardigan and the Akita Pullover sport wonderful texture that flatters the figure without adding bulk, and the Atomium Vest is the ideal layer to stave off chills in the office or on the ski slopes! You won't have to look hard to find your own favorites in this amazing collection! But wait, there's more: more Terra! That's right, each skein of sumptuous merino, alpaca, and silk is now 100 grams (196 yards) of soft and slubby goodness! We've updated many of our most popular Terra Kits to reflect that change, including the Yoked Cardigan and the Lunatic Fringe Shawl. | Springtime Bandit shawl (a free pattern from Kelbourne Woolens) only takes two skeins! Talk about making out like a bandit! |

What's a crafter without his or her tools? The good ones save time and stress, and the best ones do that and are portable, too, so you can throw them in a crafting bag or purse and never look back!
You know we'd only bring you the best - and here they are: | Never fear a dropped stitch again with the Boye 4-in-1 Tool! Each one has 4 handy crochet hooks that fold up like a pocket knife and fit, well, in your pocket! Light blue features sizes D, F, H, & J while the Dark Blue has sizes E, G, I, & K. Use them to fix mistakes, hold stitches for twisted stitch patterns, or even crochet in a pinch! |
| Your needles need a new home, and we've got the perfect one: Knitter's Pride Just at Jimmy's Needle Cases! These beautiful fabric cases have needle slots for your interchangeable tips or small crochet hooks, zippered and buttoning pouches for your cords and notions, and a sturdy button closure to keep everything neat and tucked in! Perfection - for just $10! |
| The humble project bag just got taken up a notch with the Top Shelf Totes Yarn Pop Clutch! These handy bags will hold 3 skeins of yarn (or more) for a medium-sized project, and they're divided so you could even take along 2 projects (hey, sometimes we don't know what we'll want to knit until we get there, ya know?). Plus, there are pockets for your notions and a handy strap that will keep your beloved new bag off the floor! |
| The Chicken Boots DPN/Crochet Hook Cases have it all: Two rows of pockets for needles and hooks of different sizes and lengths, plus an outside zippered pocket for notions (and, you can write on it with dry or wet erase markers!) - and, best of all, there are some gorgeous new prints to add a spark of whimsy to your craft bag! |
| We all like to wear our knitted creations, but how about really showing off your craft by wearing them still on the needles?!? Artist Pavia Lewis combined her passion for knitting and her love of jewelry in her line of knitting-inspired pieces (fittingly called "MiKnitures"), and then teamed up with Addi and Skacel to make them available for us to take home, make, and wear in the form of Addi DIY Knit-cessories!! These necklaces are the perfect gift for a beloved knitter and will make an excellent conversation starter! |

| Cold weather means chunky accessories, and this month, we're bundling up in the Halfman's Mantle in Lorna's Laces Cloudgate! Kristen designed this shawl/cowl hybrid inspired by Tyrion Lannister, as the 2015 Game of Thrones Knit-Along, and it works up quickly into a squishy, warm accessory that will keep the winter chills at bay (but not the White Walkers, unfortunately!). Kits in the Casterly Rock color are 50% off this month AND you'll receive the MKAL design, the Halfman's Mantle Pattern FREE as a download on Ravelry. |
