Season 2, Episode 1
Back in May, we presented you with "Jimmy's Journey to 15," a 15-day video series recounting our fifteen years in business, filled with stories and memories of our journey thus far. But our story doesn't stop there! This November, we're excited to introduce you to Season Two of Jimmy's Journey, where we'll be packing our bags and hopping on a plane to get a firsthand look into the lives of our friends in the international fiber arts community, without whom our story couldn't be told.

Where in the world are we going, you ask? You'll have to tune in to next week's episode to find out! Join us!
If you missed Jimmy's Journey to 15, you can still find all of Season One's episodes on our YouTube channel. Be sure to subscribe!

Kits with Benefits
Our own production department has cooked up something special in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We've created Pom Pom Hat Kits using our Lorna's Limited Edition color Ta Tas along with interchangeable fur pom poms to raise money for BreastCancer.org and Moms on the Run, two non-profit organizations that recently helped our very own Mindy, a Jimmy Beans employee and breast cancer survivor!
For every hat kit sold, we'll donate $5 of the proceeds to the two breast cancer organizations noted above. Of the donations, 50% will go to the national organization Breastcancer.org, and 50% will go to Moms on the Run, a Reno-based non-profit organization.

There's still time to join the #iKnitForHarvey campaign and give back to those devastated by the destruction caused by Hurricane Harvey. For every Blue Sky Fibers Blue Sky Fibers Royal Petite Knit Kit sold, $20 will be donated to the
Knowledge is Power Program (KIPP) - $10 from Jimmy Beans and $10 from Blue Sky Fibers. 100% of the money raised will go directly to the children, some of whom have been affected not only by Harvey, but by Katrina as well.
|
|
Once you've knit your Royal Petite animal, consider adding a personalized message of encouragement and mail it back to us by October 31st. Laura (aka Jimmy) will travel down to Houston during the first week of November to personally deliver them to the children of KIPP. We've received several knitted stuffies so far, and can't thank you enough for your support! Keep 'em coming!
