New Lorna's, JUMBO Yarn, & Jimmy's Indie Club!
Kelbourne Woolens is HERE!
We've long admired the ladies of Kelbourne Woolens... they're cool, and that makes their yarn ultra-cool! Jimmy, a.k.a. Laura, recently ran in to them at TNNA Portland last month, and we've since begun carrying 3 of their most popular lines: Germantown, Perennial, and Mojave!
Developed in Philadelphia in the 1800s, this beautiful yarn is a classic staple to add to any yarn stash! Germantown is made in the US, using 100% US grown wool. Germantown's color pallete is diverse, offering everything from subtle blues, to neutrals, to warm reds. Germantown is a worsted weight yarn, making it knit up quickly! Soft and sturdy to the touch, Germantown yarn honors the ideals of traditional American crafting.

Perennial offers a diverse color palette of both subtle neutrals and bright pops of color. A blend of merino wool, suri alpaca, and nylon, this yarn is highly functional and versatile. Fingering weight, it makes a great choice for any project, whether it be socks, shawls, or baby knits!
Constructed of cotton and linen, Mojave is plied together with a unique group of five sets of fine 2-ply strands. The result is a lightweight DK yarn - strong, with a soft feel, giving it great stitch definition. It's sturdy construction not only makes it durable to wear, but it also holds up well to machine washing!

Together, along with Lorna's Laces, we've been getting our figurative miles in! January took us to the dusty terrain of Red Rock Canyon, and February brought us to the explosively beautiful Hawai'i Volcanoes. This month, we're headed to Arizona - Petrified Forest National Park, to be exact!
If you've ever driven historic Route 66, you may have had the opportunity to see the magnificent landscape of Petrified Forest National Park (Route 66 goes right through the center of the park!). Petrified logs and colorful rocks are what the park is most well known for, and this colorway is an exquisite representation of just that! A mix of brown, red, yellow, and aqua tones, this splattershot will transport you to the arid Arizona desert!
Petrified Forest is available in Lorna's Laces favorite, Shepherd Sock! Don't wait to order this one - we have limited quantity available, and the previous months' colors sold out almost immediately!

Bundle of Joy!
We're going absolutely googoo gaga over this kit! The Feza Yarns Baby Gradient kit comes with four (baby) cakes of Feza Baby Hand Dyed, a DK weight blend of cotton and viscose, making it just about as smooth as a baby's... you know... 960 yards of hand dyed speckles and solids combine to knit up the included pattern for the beautiful Baby Gradient Blanket! Soft, colorful, and machine washable, this 2' x 3' blanket is sure to please even the most fussy.

Brandi crocheted this super handy basket using 2 cones of Woolstok Jumbo - including 1 cone of new color, Blue Ash! (The Brookston Jumbo Basket is a FREE pattern on BSF's website!) The pretty color combination is perfect for where we live... Wolf Pack territory, a.k.a. the University of Nevada, Reno - their colors are silver and blue!

Project On Our Needles!
Cassidy's Smelt Sands Shawl
Stripes, stripes, stripes! We absolutely love this color combination - the dark stripes POP, and the light colors create a subtle striping effect. The design is easy enough for a beginner, but engaging enough to keep an advanced knitter wanting more. Gorgeous color choices, Cassidy!
