Reno, Nevada -- August 13, 2021- - Autumn is upon us and our second annual Jimmy Beans Wool's Fright Club Halloween advent calendar is too.
Resident designer and Yarn Director, Amy Gunderson, takes us on a spooky adventure through the month of October as we knit and crochet our way to the holiday.
In addition to the large, 31-day project, Jimmy Beans Wool has also included a smaller, 13-day advent appropriately titled, 'All Treats, No Tricks,' also designed by Amy Gunderson. Available in two colorways, BrillIant and Delicate, 'All Tricks, No Treats' also comes with a download code for both the knit beanie and crochet beanie pattern.
Included in each kit, makers will find yarn, notions, and fun accessories, as well as a few treats along the way. The large, 31-day advent, 'Witchful Thinking,' contains an incredible 1,100 yards of Madelinetosh hand dyed yarn, while the smaller, 'All Treats, No Tricks' features an impressive 450 yards of Madelinetosh hand dyed yarn yarn.
"We introduced Fright Club last year as a fun way to get excited about the holidays, even in the midst of a pandemic. We had an amazing response from our customers who overwhelmingly requested that we bring it back for 2021 and we just couldn't resist!" said Laura Zander, owner of Jimmy Beans Wool.
Jimmy Beans Wool Fright Club is now on sale. The 31-day and 13-day make-alongs begin on October 1 and end October 31st and October 13, respectively, with the goal of having a project finished just in time for the Halloween holiday.
The large calendar is a tombstone-shaped box filled with 31 bags, each one containing yarn or a notion to create a unique, hand-crafted gift for yourself or a loved one, while the smaller calendar comes packaged in 13 monster boxes.
About Jimmy Beans Wool: At the downturn of the dotcom boom, former Silicon Valley engineers Laura and Doug Zander moved to the mountains and opened up a tiny yarn shop in Truckee, California. Jimmy, as Laura is lovingly known, sold coffee alongside the wool (hence the Beans in the name) and Jimmy Beans Wool was born. In 2004, the company settled down in Reno, Nevada where they currently reside today. They occupy an expansive 20,000 sq. ft. warehouse, are considered one of the country's leading destination yarn shops, employ 35 team members, and have built a loyal following and impressive online presence. Along with yarn, Jimmy Beans also provides consumers the most innovative crafting products and accessories, recently acquiring Madelinetosh and della Q, two beloved companies amongst knitters, crocheters, and makers. Jimmy Beans will continue to develop products under their patent pending Jimmy's SmartStix, plus hooks, needles, and notions.
