"We all love Local Yarn Store Day and we wanted to make the magic last a bit more than just one day," said Aiyana Hernandez, Retail Manager at Jimmy Beans Wool. "We're excited to announce we'll be celebrating both Saturday April 29th & Sunday April 30th."
This LYS Day, Jimmy Beans Wool is hosting four local businesses in a pop-up market where customers can shop goods and wares from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 891 Trademark Drive.
"We want to highlight all the amazing fiber-related artists and makers we have in our community in honor of Local Yarn Store Day. We're big believers in working with other businesses and makers to uplift and support each other, " said Aiyana. "We selected some great shops who offer a wide range of amazing and well-made hand-crafted products."
Joining the weekend festivities are::
- Apple Fiber Studios - with a brand new LYS Day custom color for customers to shop
- Teal Torch Knits - will be bringing her rainbow collection of colorways in a variety of bases + she'll be attending the event in person
- Sage Hill Soapworks - will be offering a custom Jimmy Beans soap & more delectable creations
- Dragonfish Handmade Goods - will be bringing sustainable hand-crafted bags & home goods
- Oink Pigments - known for their 170+ colorways, will be showcasing a Trunk Show
The first 50 people who come in each day will receive a grab bag. Fiber enthusiasts will also be able to shop both the retail space and warehouse. Plus, there's a special raffle where customers who spend $50, $75 or $100 in store will be entered to win special prizes or the possibility of snagging a spot at this year's Jimmy Beans Wool Retreat.
Additionally, there's a special in-store deal on Reno Rafter 7, each skein will be priced at $25. except for the Natural colorway priced at $20.
"The Natural color is completely un-dyed, which makes it perfect hank to dye at home," added Aiyana. "We're encouraging everyone to grab a skein and try their hand at creating custom colors."
