The Sierra Nevada Yarn Crawl (SNYC) is scheduled to take place from September 21 to 24, 2023, spanning the picturesque Sierra Nevada region. During this time, yarn-lovers will be 'crawling' or traveling from yarn shop to yarn shop between Reno, Nevada and Auburn, California.
"The event offers a unique opportunity for yarn enthusiasts, crafters, and creative individuals to delve into the vibrant local yarn stores of the Sierra Nevadas while reveling in the scenic beauty of the surrounding mountains," stated Laura Zander, Co-Founder of Jimmy Beans Wool.
Featuring participation from nine Local Yarn Stores (LYS), the 2023 SNYC boasts an exciting lineup of events and activities designed to engage and inspire attendees of all skill levels.
Participants will have the chance to embark on a self-guided tour, discovering a diverse array of yarns, patterns, and tools at the participating stores, all while enjoying exclusive promotions and discounts throughout the crawl.
"The SNYC has evolved into a cherished tradition for numerous yarn enthusiasts across the region," Laura added. "The yarn crawl unites local businesses, designers, and passionate crafters in celebrating our shared love for yarn and creativity. It presents an incredible opportunity for both LYS owners and makers within our region."
