Reno, Nevada - - Sept. 8, 2023 Jimmy Beans Wool, a leading name in the fiber arts and crafting industry, is proud to announce its latest initiative, "Maui Relief," aimed at providing much-needed support to the communities affected by the recent wildfires in Maui, Hawaii.
With a pattern, thoughtfully contributed by longtime knitting customer and Maui resident, Lisa, paired with treasures crafted by the company's talented production team, Jimmy Beans has curated a collection of exclusive Madelinetosh Unicorn Tails aptly named 'Minis for Maui', and Yarn Citizen's Aloha Lahaina kit (which includes the pattern) to raise much-needed funds for Ka Hale A Ke Ola (KHAKO), a homeless resource center that tragically lost everything at their West Maui location during the fire.
"The wildfires in Maui have had a devastating impact on the local communities, displacing families, disrupting livelihoods, and causing widespread destruction. We believe in the power of our crafting community to make a positive impact during challenging times like these," said Laura Zander, Co-Founder of Jimmy Beans Wool.
"With this initiative, we're offering our customers a creative way to contribute to the recovery and rebuilding process in Maui. All pattern proceeds, all profits from the Minis for Maui, and 20% of yarn sales from Yarn Citizen's Aloha Lahaina kit will all go directly to the cause," she added.
The Aloha Lahaina Hat pattern, "Minis for Maui" collection & Yarn Citizen's Aloha Lahaina Hat kit will be available for purchase on the Jimmy Beans Wool website starting September 8th and will run until December 31st, 2023.
