Soft and squishy - lovely!
Madelinetosh Home is a wonderful yarn for making a soft, drapey blanket. I'm making bed runner and everyone at my knitting group wants to pet it and squish it.

Depends on the yarn
I tried these Crystal Palace bamboo circs in a size 13. I have adored Crystal Palace bamboo straights for years. This circ doesn't feel as smooth as prior CP needles. I'm sure it'll become smoother with use and time. I wish the point on these needles was sharper. Some yarns drag a little over the needles. Other yarns slip easier.

Great triangle markers
For some reason, I find working with triangular markers easier. They seem to not be in the way as much. I also feel that the stitch that goes over the marker doesn't become looser than it should be. This is just my personal experience.

Soft and squishy
My pattern called for squishy worsted yarn so that there would be a lot of give in the fabric. Jimmy Bean's has a filter for squishy! It's soft before knitting and softer once knit. This colorway called _Amish_ is vibrant and richly dyed.

A completely new way of thinking about stitch patterns
Imagine this: you get to the end of a row but you're still in the middle of a pattern repeat. Solution: turn work and continue the pattern. It's the notion of being able to knit front and back but continue as if working in the round. Many new fabrics are invented this way. I'm especially interested in the many double-sided fabrics that can be created. There _is_ something new under the sun.

Best of them all
Knitter's Pride Karbonz Double Point Needles are the best I've ever triedand I've bought a lot of DPs. The points are perfect and have a good amount of slip to get into the stitch. The body of the needle has just enough grab and gives a feeling of security that the stitches aren't going to fall off of one of your working needles. I highly recommend these. They're worth the investment.
