The Rafter 7 breed of sheep was developed in the 1990s by the University of Nevada, Reno's Experiment Station. Now they are raised at the Great Basin Research and Extension Center in Eureka, NV. Rafter 7 sheep are well adapted to the harsh Great Basin environment and produce some of the finest wool in the nation. We are proud and excited to launch this yarn at Jimmy Beans!
We launched our Reno Rafter 7 collection in this yummy yarn, including sweater, one-skein accessories, and even a gorgeous blanket!
