Great for Carpal Tunnel Issues
I have used cubics needles for a number of years now and I have had carpal tunnel in both hands for over 20 years. These are the only needles I can knit with for over an hour. The square design aids in being able to more lightly hold the needles. Since I am not gripping the needles as tightly my hands and wrists are less fatigued. In addition, being made of wood they are warm to the touch. This is important to maintain blood flow to my fingers. I find that metal needles quickly cool my fingers down so much that they become uncomfortable. Finally, with cubic needles I get a bonus in that my knitting tension is much more even and the square design and wood reduce the number of times that my stiches slip off my needle. All in all cubics have allowed me to continue knitting comfortably and without exacerbating my carpal tunnel. Highly recommend them for all knitters.
