Love these DPs!
Why didn't I give them five stars? Well, they're the only DPs I've used since I started knitting again after a 30-year hiatus. So, there might be something better out there, but I love these and now have them in a range of sizes. I'm happy. As LBJ said, If it ain't broke, don't fix it! You will like the smooth, light feel and the fact that your stitches don't slip off easily. This helps those of us who are a bit below the expert level.

Lose yourself in color!
I was stunned to see that this yarn transmits light just like a glaze in oil painting or a stained glass window. The fibers are transluscent. Looking at the yarn on an Addi needle silver color under a strong light, you see the light coming right through it. If you love color, this is your new favorite yarn. Well, I'm a painter, so excuse me for getting carried away. Also, so soft, lovely to handle, and develops a nice texture as the knitted fabric grows. I love it.

Beautiful yarn, but not for my project.
I ordered this as an alternative to Lorna's Laces Honor for a vest project. It turned out to be too fine I needed something bulkier to get the right look and achieve the gauge. However, it's gorgeous. Maybe I'll try it for something else.

Learn to use them if you don't know how!
I am a new knitter, and didn't quite understand how people knitted flat things on a round needle. Well, it wasn't too hard to figure it out, and now I enjoy the several advantages: no long needles sticking out to make your hands tired less chance of the stitches falling off more compact storage of big projects. I tried some everyday needles, but my first pair of Addi Circular Needles spelled the end of experimentation! These are the best. No snagging when moving work across very smooth tips make it so easy. Highly recommended.

Feminine Ruffled Scarf in Guatemala
A friend had made a lovely ruffled scarf using Noro Silk Garden yarn. I loved the design, but the yarn was a bit too colorful, and a bit scratchy for me. I fell in love with Rowan Lima for its softness and light weight. The colors are subtle and rich without being too saturated. Guatemala is a dark purple, but is not reddish almost an eggplant color. I knitted in a strand of Alchemy Haiku mohair/silk in a very close shade of purple to give it a halo. It's gorgeous. Now if only it was November so I could wear it!
