Best for loose knitters

I spent the money for these because they are so pretty. The magnetic aspect is awesome. I’m in a wheelchair and picking up dropped stitch markers can be difficult if they aren’t magnetic. I love the colors .
But I rarely use them. Whether to use stitch markers on your needles is a personal choice. Generally ease of use outweighs any bit of warp caused by using stitch markers on my needles. But the petals on these particular stitch markers really can be too much because I tend to knit tightly and so the warp is noticeable. I’m sure for someone with a looser knitting style the warping of the finished product isn’t noticeable.

Your children will mock you.

Don’t do it. If you bought the cocoknits overpriced paper bag that doesn’t come with handles, your kids will mock you. When they discover you purchased these overpriced handles for the paper bag the mockery will never end.
“Wait mom, you paid how much for this paper bag?”
“Oh and it didn’t come with handles so you paid how much more?”
Really, if you read this review and people discover you paid over $20 for two leather straps, and then mock you for it, you kinda only have yourself to blame.

Not good for tight knitters

I so wanted to love these! I was about to buy the ebony set as soon as they were available, but I’m glad I only wasted my money on these to try. I purchased the US2.5 first. They broke in less than ten minutes use.
Undeterred, I bought two pair in size US 3. They broke in 30 minutes use. The joins aren’t as good as Chiagoo or HiyaHiya, when knitting in the round with two needles, I would find myself struggling. And cursing, and screaming.
I have to admit, I was actually relived when they snapped, because I wouldn’t have to keep trying to like them.
I have a set of the rosewood from Lantern Moon, and had hoped the new steel cords would work with them because the plastic are HORRIBLE. No such luck.
I really wanted to love them. And had the joins been better, I probably still would have ,despite the way the needles kept breaking. There isn’t anything as frustrating as finishing a row and being unable to work the next because I couldn’t slip the row back onto the needles when I turned. I tried using the leftover size 2.5 on the left hand needle since it was in the round, but it didn’t help. Even after the break, I had to screw the needle off, then slip dozens of stitches off the screw.
But they were dreamy to stitch on!!! That the saddest part. Until I reached the end of a row and would battle the joins, they were heavenly. I would absolutely buy them if the cord joins were better.
