Ok, ok. so I love noro yarns. All of them that I've worked with so far have been a pleasure. Silk garden is one of my favorites, though. It's so pretty the way it's kinda shimmery. And it's such an organic feeling working with it. Like knitting with rope, kinda? But in a good way. Feels very natural and earthy. Which I like. And the colors can't be beat. I LOVE number 86, I think? golden colors, a very nice teal, and some bright fuschia colors. Plus wine, and browns. It's one of noro's more subdued colorways. Gorgeous.

Who doesn't love this yarn? I've made bags and bags and more bags, felted, of course!. And armwarmers from snb. It's like my favorite yarn on the planet! well, anything noro makes, anyway. but if you prefer a softer and more shiny yarn, go for the silk garden. YUMMMMM. and if you're a superstar with a big wallet, go check the transitions. that yarn is quite possible the best innovation in knitting experience EVER. XD

I love this yarn. I used color #19 to make a ribbed hat for the bf. He had been eyeing this one hank for MONTHS at our lys. every time we went in together... he said, what about that one? That one's gorgeous! So, finally when we cut off all our hair butt-long dreads! and could finally wear hats again, I bought his beloved hank, and one for me in the black/grey/green/purple colorway!
The hats turned out SOOOO gorgeous and FAST on us11 needles. He loves his and wears it all the time, and I'm wearing mine right now! His took the whole ball bc his head is slightly larger than mine, and he wanted the brim to be turned up. But I was able to get my hat PLUS another one for a friend of mine using the left-overs from my skein plus a little bit of left over manos from yet another hat knit for my boss!.
Bottom line, it IS worth the price. I think I found ONE knot. and not at a critical juncture. but the texture and tactile experience was well worth the price and effort. YUM.
