Striped Hat Free Pattern Banner Image

Dreaming of spring in these cold, winter months? The Beans sure are! What better way to gear up for all of those glorious spring adventures than to whip up a quick, comfy hat?

For this pattern, Rachel decided to stick to the "knitty"-gritty basics, in order to maintain the simple elegance of well-defined stockinette stitch. She chose to incorporate a small colorwork design for the center of the hat, consisting of some single-row striping, to add some contrasting tones and to further emphasize the bold stitch definition of the yarn. To top it all off, she used leftover yarn to create a fun pom pom as the finishing touch for another little splash of color.

The resulting project is an exquisite, rustic hat, perfect for those upcoming chilly spring mornings outdoors or around the house. We are absolutely in love with this design and can't wait to cast on a few for ourselves!
