Together we will knit this beautiful beaded Shawl, learning all necessary skills along the way – the invisible garter stitch tab start, and the Feather Rib Body pattern - before doing a deep dive into how to bead your knitting, using the Beaded feather edging on the Melanie Shawl for practice. We will cover several ways to add beads to your knitting. You will leave this 2 session class with a glamorous shawl to keep the chill off your shoulders as well as the knowledge needed to add beads to all your future knitting!

Materials: Pattern is included in the class fee
- Must purchase the kit to take the class

- Size US 4/3.5mm circular needle (used to knit flat) with a cord at least 24” long or size to get a gauge of 21sts and 30 rows to 4” in Feather Rib Body pattern blocked. Differences in gauge will impact the finished size and that yardage used, but will not affect fit
- About 300 size 5/0 aka E Beads (bigger, used in pattern photo) or 6/0 (slightly smaller) seed beads. Some online sources for the larger 5/0 seed beads are: www.auracrystals.com, www.caravanbeads.com, and www.twistedsistahbeads.com

- Crochet hook small enough to fit into your beads (often steel hook size 8, 10, 12, or smaller)

- Oral B Super floss (available on Amazon or at drugstores). This is not regular dental floss

- A short piece of barber cord/stitch saver cord (optional but helpful)

- Stitch markers

- Tapestry needle to weave in ends
