Scheepjes Perfect Picnic CAL - Colour Crafter - Picnic Under the Aurora

Created in collaboration with crochet designer Eleonora Tully of Coastal Crochet, the Scheepjes Perfect Picnic CAL invites makers around the world to crochet together over eight inspiring weeks. 

The CAL runs from October 21st - December 9, 2026 and the pattern will be available on Scheepjes.com, accompanied by video tutorials in both English and Dutch via Eleonora's YouTube channel. 

Making its Scheepjes debut, one of Eleonora's much-loved blanket designs is reimagined in six new colourways. Inspired by idyllic picnic destinations, each captures the beauty and atmosphere of a different setting. Featuring front and back post stitches, playful bobbles, simple Tunisian crochet and join-as-you-go construction, the blanket offers an enjoyable balance of familiar and new, with plenty of opportunities to build confidence while exploring colour, texture and a variety of techniques.

For each Colour Crafter version, participants will also require 4mm and 4.5mm crochet hooks, or the sizes required to achieve gauge
