How to knit without turning your work
This knitting technique allows a knitter to always work with the same side facing so you don't have to worry about turning your work every few stitches. It is especially helpful when knitting enterlac pieces and when working lots of short-rows close together.
For right-handed knitters: When you finish your row, you should have the empty working needle in your left hand and the needle with your work on it in your right hand.
- Insert your left-hand needle into the back of your last stitch from left to right (just as if you were going to slip it without twisting back to your left-hand needles) and behind your right-hand needle.
- Wrap your yarn around the tip of your left-hand needle counter-clockwise (to avoid confusion...Jeanne does say clockwise the first time but does correct herself on the next stitch.)
- Draw the loop through the stitch and slip it off your right-hand needle. 4. Repeat, continuing from left to right.
