If you’ve been around Jimmy Beans Wool for a while, you know how much I love this time of year. When we launch a new Club, it always feels like cracking open a brand - new chapter - not just for us as a team, but for the thousands of makers who build these blankets right alongside us.
And this year is extra special:
It’s our 10 - year anniversary of clubs.
Back in 2015, we started with our original Beanie Bag subscription boxes, filled with mini skeins and tiny surprises. From there, we grew into Big Beanie Bags, Gnome Club, shawl clubs, accessory clubs, and eventually our beloved knit and crochet Blanket Club - now one of the most popular yarn subscriptions on the internet.
Through every evolution, one thing has stayed the same: Makers show up, month after month, to stitch something meaningful.
And the 2026 Blanket Club might be my favorite one yet.
📸 A Photo Album You Can Stitch: Introducing the 2026 Blanket Club Theme
The theme for this year is Photographs, a cozy, sentimental idea we fell in love with immediately.
Each month’s section is designed to feel like flipping through a photo album - textured snapshots, memorable stitch patterns, colors that tell a story, A blanket that grows just like a camera roll of your year
It’s a 12-month knit and crochet blanket subscription that blends creativity, nostalgia, and the joy of slow-making.
Two blanket designs
- Freeze Frame (knit)
- Snapshot (crochet)
Two color palettes
- Sepia - soft, neutral, vintage- inspired
- Technicolor - bold, bright, full of life Sepia
Two yarn options
- Madelinetosh Tosh Blanket (luxury hand-dyed wool)
- Knit Picks Brava & Brava Tweed (affordable + allergy- friendly)
And - and this is my favorite part - you don’t have to choose knit or crochet upfront. Members get both patterns so you can switch as your creativity demands.

Is the Blanket Club Beginner - Friendly? Let’s Talk About It.
Here’s the honest truth (because you know I’m always going to be real with you):
The 2026 Blanket Club is not a true beginner project. It’s fantastic for advanced beginners, intermediates, and experienced makers who love monthly structure and learning new stitches.
But if you’re brand new to knitting or crochet? Some sections may feel challenging.
Why Makers Love Blanket Club (Even If They Don't Finish on Time 😉)
One of my favorite things about this club is how personal it becomes.
Maybe you remember the month you stitched a gorgeous deep red section on vacation.
Maybe you worked a textured section during a stressful week when crafting saved your sanity.
Maybe you made part of your blanket during your kid’s soccer practice or over cozy winter evenings.
Blanket Club becomes a timeline of your life- a soft, colorful record of your year.
And yes… even if you don’t finish by December, you’re still part of the journey. No pressure, no guilt- just yarn, community, and creativity.

Inside the Yarn: Choose the Fiber That Fits Your Life
Whether you’re a wool lover or looking for an allergy- friendly option, the 2026 Blanket Club offers two high- quality yarn choices.
Madelinetosh Tosh Blanket: A soft, smooth, luxurious wool base with rich color saturation.
Knit Picks Brava & Brava Tweed: A budget- friendly, machine- washable acrylic with great stitch definition. Both options create heirloom- quality blankets- just choose the one that fits your lifestyle and preferences.

Behind the Scenes: Thoughtful Improvements for 2026
Every year, we review what worked, what didn’t, and what would make Blanket Club feel even more special.
Some changes you’ll notice:
✔ ️ A More Predictable Billing Cycle: Billing happens the day before shipping begins - this helps our fulfillment team ship smoothly.
✔ ️ More Yarn, Based on Your Feedback: 14 skeins total across the year.
✔ ️ Community- Led Support: Our private Facebook group will have member- moderators who’ve completed previous clubs - truly a “makers helping makers” experience.
✔ ️ Clear Charts + Cleaner Layouts: Patterns were redesigned to reduce confusion and make each section easier to follow.
