Fiber Fun in the Mountains: The 6th Annual Sierra Nevada Yarn Crawl

Reno, Nevada -- April 2, 2024--For the sixth consecutive year, thousands of crocheters, knitters, and weavers will gather in the Sierra Nevada region to explore local yarn stores and share their mutual passion for fiber.

The Sierra Nevada Yarn Crawl (SNYC) will take place from September 12 to 15, 2024, spanning the picturesque Sierra Nevada region. During this time, yarn lovers will be 'crawling' or traveling from yarn shop to yarn shop between Reno, Nevada, and Auburn, California.

"This event is a fantastic chance for yarn enthusiasts, crafters, and creatives to explore all the great local yarn stores in the Sierra Nevadas, all while enjoying the stunning mountain scenery," said Laura Zander, Co-Founder of Jimmy Beans Wool.

Featuring participation from eight Local Yarn Stores (LYS), the 2024 SNYC boasts an exciting lineup of events and activities designed to engage and inspire attendees of all skill levels.

Participants will have the opportunity to embark on a self-guided tour, discovering a wide variety of yarns, patterns, and tools at the participating stores while also enjoying exclusive promotions and discounts throughout the crawl.

"The SNYC has become a beloved tradition for countless yarn lovers in the region," Laura added. "It brings together local businesses, designers, and passionate crafters to celebrate our collective love for fiber. It's a wonderful opportunity for both LYS owners and makers in our community!"
